Far be it for me to ever boast about comics2film's accuracy, but I thought this was interesting.

I tend to agree that is very interesting, but I know that Silvestri has not given up to put Witchblade to a movie, I remember him saying for when it ran on TNT that with a TV Series you have limits and boundries and that they had to work with TNT on the armour of Witchblade because it was a "Family Network"  and he knows with a movie he can do more and make it more because the limits are a little bit more flexible.

Lickie & I were just talking about the series the other day because we helped get the 1st fan based witchblade convention started. She was saying that the show would have done better if what's her name wasn't such a lush & easier to work w/. Even if the show had been picked up for another season, nobody wanted to work w/ Yancy anymore, anyway.  My stance was that lush or not, the Witchblade series really came out too soon. I think it would have been more popular & had better ratings if it were to have come out today instead of 2000 & 2002.

That's probably pretty accurate. I had liked Yancy in some B type movies before Witchblade and thought that she was a great choice for the character. I think I will have to buy DVD's(do they exist?) of the series and watch them again.

you can get them on the black market, but there is no official release for the DVD.  I really liked the show and Yancy but the poor girl is messed up and put more kinks into the situation.  I think the compition from Angel and buffy were to much.  I think if it came out today it would have done better, but simply cuz it wouldn't have the same compition, they would have to fight show's like Supernatural, and honestly would likely lose if put on the same time slot.

Agreed. If it had come out now I think the show would have done a lot better. Butler was an OK choice. Also at times the writing was sloppy.

I do hope that we see a witchblade movie. Love it, but considering that news is from 05 and I havent heard anything on the topcow board eh, who knows whats happening.
