Hello all, Here's two page from Fallen Angel #17. The Shi arc will go into and through issue #19. The first page has been cleaned and the levels corrected. The second is just scanned... Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Me too Jamar. That's why I'm working so hard on "Ring of Fire." But I've also been working on "Prelude to War." I'm so backed up on deadlines and other stuff, that I've been slacking way too much. I've got to get organized so I can get more done during the day. I feel incredibly guilty about all of this and it's keeping me up at night. Let me finish "Fallen Angel" and then I can devote much more time to them and finally finish it. Ugh!

I'm not sure if you guys notice but I'm trying to make Shi look like she did in WOTW. I'm using the model I had back then and all the reference pictures. It was a great time creatively for me and it has rejuvinated me to make Ana look better.

Hey Billy, The pages look great there is just one small problem on Page 3. Not to be a major stickler, but if that is Jesus on the page, his wounds are not in his hands as crucifixions were done through the bones in the wrist to prevent the nails from shredding the body and allowing the person being crucified to fall off. Just a small point.

Here is something that I picked up from the web... Ultimately, the mechanism of death in crucifixion was suffocation. To breathe, the victim was forced to push up on his feet to allow for inflation of the lungs. As the body weakened and pain in the feet and legs became unbearable, the victim was forced to trade breathing for pain and exhaustion. Eventually, the victim would succumb in this way, becoming utterly exhausted or lapsing into unconsciousness so that he could no longer lift his body off the stipes and inflate his lungs. Due to the shallow breathing, the victim’s lungs would begin to collapse in areas, probably causing hypoxia. Due to the loss of blood from the scourging, the victim probably formed a respiratory acidosis, resulting in an increased strain on the heart, which beats faster to compensate. Fluid would also build up in the lungs. Under the stress of hypoxia and acidosis, the heart would eventually fail. There are several different theories on the actual cause of death for Jesus. One theory is that there was a filling of the pericardium with fluid, which put a fatal strain on the ability of His heart to pump blood. Another theory states that Jesus died of cardiac rupture. Another theory is that Jesus' death was “multifactorial and related primarily to hypovolemic shock, exhaustion asphyxia and perhaps acute heart failure.” Regardless of the actual medical cause of final death, the historical record is very clear -- Jesus suffered numerous hours of horrible and sustained torture on the cross of Calvary.
This is too cruel of a punishment for anyone to have to endure. I am sorry that my saviour had to, scratch that, CHOSE to go thru this because of His love for me. I am thankful for his sacrifice and unfortunately do not tell him enough.

Chris you are right, but that's in Peter's script and the dude really isn't Jesus. I was explaining the same exact thing to someone else on the phone a few weeks ago. I'm also sorry for not calling you back today too, but things got a little hairy over here. I'll call you tomorow okay?

Oh and the art on those pages do look very nice!!

Chris you are right, but that's in Peter's script and the dude really isn't Jesus. I agree with this point. However, that's not to say that the person's arms could not be tied to the cross and thier hand's nailed, I've heard this as well. It's funny Billy how you say that you discussed this point and yet stuck to the script. I was recently reading a preview from Top Cow with the PITT/Darkness cross-over. It featured the script typed, and on the opposing page the artwork. I was shocked by how much the art deviated from the script. I felt the story was much better and that the art took away from the story, as some area's of detail were missed. For example the writer said the character was in a dark corner of a dinner, yet the artist drew him in the middle of the dinner. I'm sure you can't release this now, but I'd be interested if you could post the script with each page. Perhaps awhile after the comic has hit the shelves, if Peter agree's. I'd like to see how you took Peter's script and turned it into art.

LOL really!
but I tend to ignore the crossovers and think of them as a WHAT IF like storyline that doesnt impact the main story/continuity so since both stories dont exist to me LOL then maybe they arent taking that story into account either LOL
