Hey all (but especially Delvie) Here is an announcement from Marvel's Panels yesterday at the NYCC:
As an answer to many suggestions from fans, Buckley announced that Marvel will be collecting the covers drawn by artists for the Hero Initiative Ultimate 100 - 100 covers of Ultimate Spider-Man #100 drawn by various artists which are being auctioned off to generate funds for Heroes Initiative. The collected volume will, according to a Marvel source speaking to Newsarama, include all the covers except the cover drawn by Todd McFarlane. The release date for the collected edition will be announced soon, and will be distributed through the Hero Initiative

Well, technically, it was the push to have it released w/ a semi-blank cover for the rest of us mid-lower income citizens to get it sketched on @ cons, etc that I was backing... but still... very cool. Thanks for the heads up.

I believe that he would not give them the rights to reproduce it.

Ok, I found a signed version in the system that already came out but not the regular, let me check with some other retailers and see if it ever came out.

this is very dissappointing! This coulda been good reading material to take to Italy. Well last year i did stumble across a digest copy of the 1st 2 story arcs which featured Dr. Doom and the second featuring Doc Ock. Good Stories by Stan Lee and GREAT ART by John Romita.

Looks like I'll have to wait till April when I go over there!
How was it over there, any places you recommend going and not going to?

April 2008 is the goal for me. By then I should have the money saved up and enough annual leave banked to take off two weeks of work. It's been a goal of mine since I was a kid to go to Italy - to see the places I've read about and also see where some of my family came from.
I figure I'll start in Rome and work my way south to Naples to see the Archaeological Museum as well as Pompeii.

In Rome if you intend to go to the Colliseum and many other museums i recommened u get the Roma Pass which is for 20 euros. It is valid for 3 days, your 1st 2 museums are free, the rest discounted and you have free transportation on rome's metro lines and buses.
