I went and saw Daredevil Thursday evening. I liked it. This was NOT a typical Hollywood, "You've got a good idea now we're gonna fix it" movie. It's nice to see a comic book story treated with respect. That having been said, it's not the greatest movie ever made but it's enjoyable. Hard core DD fans will have some issues, but that's inevitable. I'm not hard core and I've got some issues. JCV told me to point out what I did and didn't like but most of those are specifics that would involve spoilers and I don't do spoilers. Ben AFLAC makes a good DD. Jennifer Garner .....I'm sorry, I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yeah, da-yum. Joey Pants was great. Michael Clark Duncan made a good Kingpin. I didn't watch him and think "I can't imagine anyone else doing this" but he was good. That having been said they could have done more with The Kingpin. John Favrue(however the-hell you spell his name) was GREAT as Foggy Nelson. The chemistry and timing between him and AFLAC was so good a lot of their dialogue felt spontaneous. Watch for lots of name droppings. Frank Miller makes a cameo as "man holding a pen". Watch for it.

Speaking of respect, when I was waiting in line my friend and I were talking and JCV's name came up. A young man near us interrupted and asked if I knew THE JCV. I said I did and that he is one of my closest friends. The kid spit on me.

I haven't seen it yet.  Anyone else "dare" to comment.

Sorry, I had to put that in.  You guys would kill me if you saw the original.  God, I keep thinking of more as I write so I'll go away.

I'm sorry that you were spat on siko, but you I'm sure you understand.

You get used to it....

At least he didn't ask 'Are you a friend of Weldon's?'
That can get you killed.

I saw it on opening night hoping there would be a crowd to watch it with.  Only me, my older brother and best friend and about 10 others were there. I thought it was really cool. It seemed to be a more of a Batman type of setting throughout. Other message board members(different boards) complain alot about the silly dialogue and Daredevil's unbelievable jumping ability. I had no complaints though. After all, it is based on a comic book.
It was very entertaining and I plan on seeing it again.

Who needs words when you're as cool as me?

I loved it!  It was faithful to the book, and had the dark, gritty feel I was hoping to see.  Bullseye stole the show, IMO, and the Kingpin was right behind him.  I love MCD, and he pulled off the character beautifully!

No major gripes, just the super jumps, but I can over-look that...
