Does it count as collecting if I have it in the shop and it does not sell   laugh

Seriously though I collect the following:
Shi
Any appearance of Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)
Any appearance of HarleyQuinn
Justice Society of America (newest series)
52
Nearly all of the Virgin line of comics

I would probably collect more if I did not own a shop and have access to reading all of the books, since the current Teen Titans run and Paul Dini's Detective Comics run are really good.

You guys are killing me!   bummer

No one's reading 24? C'mon, that's 28 less than 52!!!

Individual issues:
Action Comics [just the Johns/Donner story]
Captain America [Brubaker has been awesome on this book]
Desperadoes: Buffalo Dreams [Jeff Mariotte just rocks]
Lone Ranger [great start]
Mighty Avengers [once it starts]
New Avengers
Omac (one more issue, illustrated by 24 artist Renato Guedes)
Painkiller Jane
Powers [dropping at next story arc, just going with hardcovers]
Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane [until Sean McKeever departs]
StormWatch: PHD [by Christos Gage, and you should check it out, too]
Ultimate Power
Ultimate Spider-Man [dropping when Bagley leaves, just going with hardcovers]

Trades:
Army of Darkness [written by my pal Jim Kuhoric]
Captain America
Coyote
JSA / Justice Society
Maze Agency
Red Sonja [when there aren't hardcovers]
Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane
Y - The Last Man

Hardcovers:
Conan
Daredevil
Invincible
New Avengers
Nexus Archives
Powers
Red Sonja
Ultimate Spider-Man

I also read A LOT of other comics that come through the office, but these are the ones I'm collecting now. I'll probably drop a lot of the regular Bendis books in favor of trades or hardcovers in the near future.

I have been reading it, but as I said in my post, if it includes everything that comes into the shop that I read, I could just about post the entire Diamond catalog as my reading list. Well more like 95% off Marvel and DC and about 50% of all other major indy books. The list I put on were books that I order extras for myself on.

I've been looking @ those covers wondering if the story was any good or not. Glad I know someone who likes them. Now I'm waiting to see if Virgin covers or special covers will be released before I fork out what should be Shi bucks.

Shi - course it is "declared" dawns collection upon arrival home

Anything "Top Cow" I give a try

Seriously collect (as in multiple covers of the comic, one for storage, one for reading)

The Darkness
and
Witchblade

and any of their cross-overs

also read:

Punisher
Fathom - but it's more cuz it started as a top cow thing
Ghost Rider
X-23 - big billy tan fan
Red Sonja from time to time
wolverine from time to time
Anything Star Wars if it catches my eye - usually stormtroopers on the cover or the emperial crimsion gaurd

and as dawn said

eye candy - if the cover is breaktaking - I'll buy it without even looking at the interior.

Julie and I each have titles that we like. Then there are those that we collect together.

Together:
Shi ( Which includes any crossovers & trades or HC )
    JLA
    Brave & Bold

Julie:
    Wonder Woman
    SuperGirl
    Ms. Marvel

Bill:
    New Avengers
    Mighty Avengers
    Captain America
    Green Lantern
    Green Lantern Corps
52 & Countdown (but I'm really getting tired of this weekly comic... 52 was excellent, but Countdown, not so much)

I'm also really looking forward to the upcoming Thor book & the ongoing Cyberforce title.

To add my two cents:

Collection Comics - There's only two titles I consider my "collection", complete with checklists and everything.
Shi (pre-Avatar), including crossovers and variants
WildC.A.T.S., including crossovers and variants
My wife (mostly via me) also collects anything related to Neil Gaiman (Sandman, Eternals, Etc) or Stephen King (Dark Tower)

New Comics - Anything that's come out recently, all of which I read before I bag and put away, but don't consider part of my "collection".
Most Wildstorm titles (WildC.A.T.S., Authority, Midnighter, Wetworks, Deathblow, Nightmare on Elm Street {which is FANTASTIC if you haven't tried it}, Crossing Midnight {Vertigo, not Wildstorm, but close enough} )
The new Death Dealer mini (which I'm hoping spawns something longer... the first two issues of the mini are awesome)
A couple truly indy titles - Love and Capes (by Thom Zahler) and Xombie: Ressurection (by James Farr)

I don't have much in the way of original art (or even prints... I have two Shi lithos, and that's it), but I'm hoping to start picking up a few things here and there.

Mine hasn't really changed much since before, except I've added Ramayan  3392AD as a regular must.

As far as complete collections, I have

The Warlord (old & new)
Ekos
3 Little Kittens (not sure why)
The Path
semi-complete Crying Freeman
semi-complete Gen13
Aphrodite IX
Witchblade on disc
Tomb Raider on disc

The new one is HORRIBLE. Bruce Jones had a decent plot but writing for the dialog & narration sucked (IMHO). Bart Sears may or may not have a good record of illustrating comics, but his Warlord art completely turned me off. I was over the new series by the 3rd issue, but since I'm proud of having all of the Warlord to that point, I continued to collect them. The last issue or two before it was canceled turned out a lot better ( if I recall, they brought in a new artist), but by that time, it was too late for the series.

Bruce Jones makes my head hurt when I read his stuff. His Nightwing was just awful and OMAC seemed like it was a leftover Hulk plot he had.
