Hey all,
I do not know if this has hit the mainstream sites yet, but there will be a midnight release for Stephen King's Darktower The Gunslinger Born # 1 on Tuesday night (Wed. morning) February 6th 2007. Marvel is supposed to be doing an all out media blitz starting in January for the book. We will be taking part in the festivities so if anyone is in the Chicagoland area that night swing by.

Oh, One other thing I forgot. Marvel is sending out a bunch of promotional material for that night as well, posters, postcards, the trailer on dvd and other things. Since they always send me more than I need(we have a very small shop, not alot of room to put things up) I will keep some of that stuff aside for you as well.

that is so cool, by chance do you have the comic Creepshow? There were 2 of them I believe and they were in the 80's, would love to get my hands on them being that I have pretty much every novel, was down to one but now its back up to two novels from King. I know I will never get the vast articles he has done over the years but I dont' think that comic was big and my dealer doesnt have them.

I think I may have one copy. It was only one issue if I remember correctly. If I do still have that copy it is damaged, I will have to check and see just how damaged. If it is still not a threat to health and safety(ie no water/mold damage) I can ship it out to you.

Ok, I found it much more quickly than I thought I would. It has some water or other kind of staining damage to the inside cover both front(sorta bad) and back (not really bad. Cover has some little damage to it. No smell of mold/water damage. If you would like it PM me your address and I will ship it out tomorrow.

Thanks for the offer JC, but we decided against doing the event after all. We have had some advertising offering discounts on the book and have yet to see a single customer ask about it , so we decided to just sleep in and sell it Wednesday morning. That and the unpredictability of weather in February, especially since it was a Tuesday night and not a weekend. Plus it saves me have to pay for shipping on two orders that week. If that offer stands for any other events let me know. We do a sidewalk sale every year down here where we have almost all comics on sale for between 25 cents to 1 dollar.
