Hi everyone.  After watching the house behind mine burn up yesterday evening (structural damage and the loss of 4 cats), I got to thinking about insuring my comic collection.  I was just wondering what the other board members do to protect their collections.  When I moved into the house, my agent told me that my personal collections would be covered to $10K, but that was 15 or so years ago, and my collection is 15 or so times larger now.  What kind of coverage do you all have on your comic books and collectables?  Thanks for any and all serious posts.

When I was at one of the conventions there was an insurance company that dose only collectables. I saved the information becouse I wanted to share with all of you. but then I forgot about it. now I can not find it. I will take a look at the next convention (in 2 weeks) and if they are there again I will get the info for you.

or do some checing out on the web.

There is a guy who offers collectables insurance in all of the comic trade and antique magazines. I will check to see with my inlaws(they own an antique shop) what his name is since I believe that they are insured on my father-in laws personal collection through him.
