Billy I've got a burning question. Whenever you post a pitch you only leave it on for a couple days then "poof" it's gone.
1) How much is a good pitch worth?
2)How do you protect your pitch from being stolen by someone else, I mean what's to say I don't copy this and send it to Marvel myself? (you are already in and name/face goes a long way, but what about the nobody like me)
2A)Who can you go to with a story, for feelers, that would be honest but not turn around and steal the idea down the road?
3)While I like this story pitch, I thought your Blue Collar Batman was a homerun, whatever happened to it?
*I've always loved writing, as a "I'm bored " kind of hobby, I'm no King or Tucci, but I don't think I suck either*

Sounds good and it would tie in well with what JMS was doing in the Spider-Man books with Morlun and the whole Spider-Totem and why all of the characters that he gets involved with or has as villians are based on insects or animals of some sort.

*I've always loved writing, as a "I'm bored " kind of hobby, I'm no King or Tucci, but I don't think I suck either* Okay, I basically trust you guys here. JCV always gets mad at me for posting the pitches because of this very reason. I pitch it to Mark Paniccia. But this might also work well as an Ultimate Black Cat story and can pitch it to Ralph Macchio. I gave Batman Blue Collar to Jimmy to talk to Dan Didio. Jimmy's waiting for the right time to speak with Dan, but we hear that DC isn't doing "Elseworlds" stories anymore. I'll call Jimmy and see if he, I and Dan can all hook up next week in the city. I don't know how to get a pitch made. I've been around for a while, but there's very few at the big two who make the creative choices. It's basically a "club" where the same guys get the lion's share of stuff. I'm going in with the success of HFH, Shi and the numbers HFH had compared to Daughter's of the Dragon. Dan Buckley is my in over at Marvel, but he's been really swamped so hopefully next week we'll get together with my Cap pitches, Arena, 9 Lives and a new one title "Two for the Milky Way" with Franklin Richards and the Thing. I know the best way to get noticed is to do an Indy book that gets critical acclaim. I also understand that Marvel has writing contests from time to time. Keep an eye out for those. Again, lots of guys get Marvel and DC work (where all the money is for the time being) from doing Indy books -- remember it pays to be PUBLISHED. I hope that helps.

Hey Billy, That 2 for the Milky Way, is that going to be in the style of the current Franklin Richards adventures (ie Happy Franksgiving etc.)

Is that Chris Eliopolis' books? Cartoony? if so, no, it would be in my style and more "adult". It's really a 21st "Huck Finn"

Yeah it is geared directly at kids. The first special in the series was Franklin Richards Son of a Genius. How old are you having Franklin in this? I have not kept up with FF in a few years(Heroes Reborn put me off the title as a collector), but if I remember right before that the de-aged him again back to about 8 years old.

Is the art regular comic book like.

It is more of a goofy kind of feel to it. Not quite Anime/Manga but more of the feel of a kid's cartoon. It reminds me a little of Kyle Baker's Plasticman comics. I think they have a few collected volumes out , I know that I do not have any of the single issues currently.

Oh and I almost forgot, Should you need any reference material on Bast/Bastet let me know. I have a ton of Egyptian Mythology Books. Oh, and you could also add Sekhmet who is another Egyptian goddess with a Lion's face who is the Upper Egyptian counterpart to Bast who started as a Lower Egyptian goddess. Sekhmet was the goddess of war and retribution.

I like, but it sure reminds me a lot of an episode of Charmed. Can't tell you the title of the episode, though.

Me too! ... and Crusade. I started to comment on that, but then, I presumed it was obvious. Avatar crossover w/ hot nude of the year just doesn't cut it for a Shi story.

What does "hot nude of the year" mean? Please don't tell me there's a nude Shi from Avatar.

No "Nude" variant yet that I have seen. I think he was refering to the other titles that they produce and the lack of storyline in most of their titles.

No. Lady Death seems to be drawn w/ less & less clothes each year & it seems like Lady Death is their most popular book this year. Personally, I like the Medieval LD covers more than the reg LD covers.
