I don't know if any of you caught Heros or Studio 60 on NBC but they are actually really good shows.
Tj said Heros reminds him of the the Top Cow book Rising Stars.

Loved the first episode of Heros, but have to disagree a little with TJ. In Rising Stars the superbeings were brought together at a young age, schooled together, raised together, and were closely watched by the government. In Heros, the superbeings do not know each other, yet. It is quite interesting in how the lives of each of the people were being woven together. Studio 60 was quite interesting, and very quickly paced.

I missed it. I had a hockey game and ended being thrown out for being a bad boy. So it was all for naught. :-[

It's not a carbon copy of Rising Stars, yes, but you've got a group of superheroes, the government is involved somehow, they seem grouped into a certain area, and are just starting to discover their powers, and I'm sure soon to start discovering eachother. The only reason I brought it up to dawn was because I wasn't sure who wrote the script. Rising Stars still remains one of my favorite comic series. Part of that may because it actaully had an ending.

We are in the process of downloading it, since I have heard nothing but positive things about it.

It was on again twice last night, but if you still missed it, it will be on friday on the scifi channel @ 7pm. Personally, I thought it was kind of slow, but it was a character build up week, so that's to be expected. I didn't dislike it, though. Since the xmen movies & Mutant X, I sort of expected a lot action or fx, but it's early. It was cool to see Santiago Cabrera & Ali Larter again. Big fans! It was also freaky to see & try to figure out Ali's character's power. That should prove interesting. It was also cool to see the twist that Nathan was the one who could fly & not Peter.

Man I didn't realize it was on last night, when I saw it the other day I caught the middle of it because Nate was watching a movie and last night he was watching Curious George while I waited for Tj to be done with Kenpo so we could watch Tokyo Drift.
But I did catch some of Runaway which was pretty good.
Even if I had the Sci Fi I couldnt watch it because of my Tai Chi class. Oh well, it will be on DVD eventually.

Watched all but one episode of Who Wants to be a Superhero. There were a few times I wanted to slap Stan Lee (Super heros don't kill people? Where has he been?) It got corny a few times each show, and seemed to be aimed at 10 year old children. I thought that kind of weird since Dark Horse was involved with the show. All said, the winner was probably the best choice, although the one hot chick & her character (Leluna or something like that) had/has a lot of potential. Some of the other characters were cheesy. It will be interesting to see what the book looks like when Stan gets it out on the market.

Lemuria. I liked Tonya or Creature a lot. I was SOOO glad to see monkeygirl go. Got tired of the monkey noises & pretending to climb trees when she sucked @ it. I got a kick out of Major Victory & was rooting for him to win. Matt was my 2nd choice, but was glad to see him win.

Lemuria. Right. I liked her original costume better than the one they made for her on the show. Major Victory was such a hoot, the way he would stop and pose. Very much a comic book character.
