A few years ago, writer-director
Robert Tinnell left Hollywood to move "back east." After his son, Jack, was born he found his world changed further when Jack was diagnosed with autism. He and his wife, Shannon, went through the tremendous upheaval accompanying the diagnosis and the emotional rollercoaster ride that followed.
Tumultuous it may have been, but it didn't stop Tinnell from writing. Along with frequent collaborator Todd Livingston, he teamed up with comics artist Neil Vokes and began cranking out graphic novels such as the acclaimed Image Comics book
The Wicked West,
The Black Forest, and their respective sequels. He and Livingston also teamed with Micah Farritor for
The Living and The Dead. On his own, Tinnell has written two additional graphic novels for Image,
The Faceless: A Terry Sharp Story (with Adrian Salmon on art) and the recently released
Sight Unseen (with Bo Hampton).
