And I stupidly thought the whole point of Highlander was "there can be only one." I guess not?

The only real RRP editions are produced by DC for their RRP group (it's solely DC retailers who belong to their official group).

Nick at Dynmite produced something calling them RRP editions, but that's just a ridiculous mistake.

About half of the editions identified online as RRP editions are not.

that much for a varient of anything is nuts.{this coming from a guy that has dang near all shi books and varients, and 10,000 other comic books}and their has been a 90$plus dollar shi varient before, got one.i dont mind one or two varients that are low priced but when you need to buy 9 or 10 every outher book i give up,i had a complete vampirella and lady death collection till both went nuts with varients and i just gave up.buy the sexiest cover and ignore the rest.Kinda like i got discusted with marvel crossovers a few years back and stoped buying comics all together for 5 years. ???

Yeah the whole everything is an RRP is ridiculous. I do however think that all of the giveaways at the retailer conventions should count as true RRP's and not just the DC stuff, since all of the giveaways are technically a reward for showing up.  Speaking of the retailer con anyone else going to be in Baltimore for the B-Con or the retailer con. I know I saw Billy as one of the official guests.

So Nathan I take it you skipped the Lady Death Shi Preview editions, of which there are 15 currently.

Avatar was "foiled" when trying to generate RRP issues.
The truth probably is they make more money not having to get a new artist or do more than just change text colors.

I ordered 1 or 2.Dont remember.I didnt even realize the comic con ones were so many till i saw them all,by that time i already blew my money on the exclusive statues.Just going to that 1 convention is a experience in itself.I dont even want to think about going to another one. I saw your coment about baltimore.I thought about  going but that would proubly result in me being singal. The lady in my life dosnt understand my hobby. She dosnt have any.Nobody in here family ever saved squat. If i could find a way to make a living in the comic book or ent. industry i would do it.Creating stories is simple enough.{i am a truck driver after all}But how to turn them into a comic book,tv series or regular book is proubly rough.Drawing isnt a option, and as you can see my spelling and grammer is terrable.{realy need to down load spell check}.Sorry to ramble on stuck here in ok city ok.Cant del till am.I went on a tour of the back lot at warner brothers and i loved it.The offices were even cooler.Just about every pruduct thay ever did was on display. And all that raw artwork on the walls was neat to.Did that on wensday before comic con.The wb canteen was one of the best places i ever ate.We didnt stop moving all day from getting on train around 6am till end of convention.2hrs up and back i think.Funny part was walked oftrain, switched trains and walked streight into con.no line because i was running late.I got so many autographs it isnt funny.Took 109 pics.Includeing Rayharryhausen,he said i could take one pic but no autograph!I actualy stumbled across him on the convention floor, kinda hard to miss him in a wheelchair.I could typ a book just on that convention.Nice to be someplace where im considered normal.Because their are a 140,000 outher people like me.

He, i buy only the regular or, if it is a cool one, a variant cover, i hate to spend money on all the variants.

In the list of Highlander stood also a variant for almost 700 dollar??? Damn low, if you know, the first batman appearance is now over 2 million dollar....

What did it cost when it was 1st released? 25c? I think we're talking 2 different things. Release price & accumulative worth are 2 different things. Besides, the $700 Highlander was for a Giclee, not a comic variant. ;)

Plus Batman is actually rare because of age and the paper shortages during WW 2 forced most of the issues to be recycled. I do not think we will ever have a paper recycling shortage in our lifetime.

Sometimes you hold onto things just because.  I have a pre-WWII issue of Superman that has seen better days.  I took it to a couple of conventions, but the best offer I had was $85.  My cousin who gave the comic to me had previously turned down offers between $1100-1500.  He had put it away in his garage in the Texas heat....  Well, I have held on to the book, just because it did survive the paper drives.
