The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.

From a fan-favorite whose opinion I admire:

"Saw DD with a crew here in L.A. at the screening...
Just a warning, it is a piece of crap.  If you like Frank Miller's comic, stay home, real trash here.
The dance sequence when Electra and Matt battle in the park is just unbelievable.
trust me..."
Jimmy

This is all very sad for comics.  Once again, too many people w/o one iota of creativity or marketing skills make crucial story, costume and visual decisions - often off the top of their square heads.

But since I personally felt that I should have directed the film, I'm partial, and probably won't be fair with my own judgement.

I'll still see it, but at least we have been duely warned.

I usually see comic related movies in the standard 'Crash' position.
Sitting in the theater, I place my knees firmly together, bent slightly forward at the waist, cross fingers on both hands, squench my buttcheeks really really tight, and recite the mantra "Pleasedon'tsuck-Pleasedon'tsuck-Pleasedon'tsuck".
