Who, along with hundreds of their fellow Firemen, EMS, NYPD and the PAPD, sacrificed themselves in the greatest and most extraordinary resuce operation in history. September 11, 2001 will forever be known as the worst day in the history of our country. The unforgivable acts of terrorism upon the United States were matched only by the selfless acts of heroism by its citizens. This book is a testament to those who disregarded their own safety in order to save the lives of over 25,000 innocents. Our prayers go out to their families, and their loss will never be forgotten or taken for granted.
