Actually it’s more like two and one half pages in one day. I’ll post them up in a bit. Please let me know what you think. Since IDW prints over in Korea, the books must be done at least 2 months before they are to ship . So I’m under the gun here but thought I had more time. I’ve been working on a lot of commissions too. As I’ve told you guys, I’ll have all of yours done soon enough. After I finish “Fallen Angel” and am waiting for the Marvel script, I’ll be writing the new Shi series treatment, which I think will be a “Prelude” to “Way of the Warrior” and introduce Ana to the ghosts who guide her. It’ll be very scary for her and the ghosts aren’t anything really all that noble and have their own agenda, that’s working out to be pretty darn original. Anyway, please look at the new pages. I did half of page 6 on Tuesday and the rest, along with 7 and 8 yesterday. I’ve got to do get back to work now and finish pages 9 and 10 today. Darn, I think I can do this at this level of art. Again, it’s the FIRST time I’ve ever done it but am inspired. I’ve been so disheartened these past few years with the comics industry distribution and how hard it is for Indys to succeed, but Shi’s different and has proven that. I will call DH next Monday to discuss the situation, but will not rule out the idea of publishing it myself. If I can do 20,000 in sales bi-monthly, I (and Deborah) can be very happpy. Well, it’s back to the drawing board.

Say, is anyone going to the Pittsburgh Comic Con?

Hello All,
So, so sorry for not posting, I’ve been so agrivated (sic?) with several developments that thinking of them makes me ill. Everyone here is fine (aside from some crazy colds/flus we’re trying to shake) but with work, I’ve been really ansy and want to get going with a new Shi project. I’ve drawn the first two pages of Fallen Angel #17 and it’s great to draw Ana again. Tonight at dinner Deb and I will discuss what we should do. I’m planning a summer special book for August. But wonder which way I should go, Fashion - Kimono inspired titled “Hayari” with 32 new color Ana drawings or an Anime inspired pin up book. Both would be pin ups as DH still wants to publish the next Shi series (which I’ve got to finish writing the treatment tonight!) I was also planning to have the next series be a prequal to “WOTW” showing Ana growing up and being terrified by the ghosts who haunt her eventually ending up with her coming to NY. I’ll post a column so you guys please give me your opinions on what you’d like to see. I just know that I have to write the next Shi series for my own sanity, as I’ve been going bonkers with Mimi and the movie direction. She hopes the film to go into production in August with January being the latest , but I gave her so many great ideas (very detailed treatments if you remember — I wonder if they’re still on the forum) and just last week had to write down just what in our script is based on Japanese history and mythology and what “we made up.” Well it seems that something like 90% is what we made up all based on my very researched and very true sources. The fact is that the real history and mythology blows ours away, but what can you say? I’m not in charge as long as she holds the option until next March. To be fair the script would make a cool movie, just not as good as it could be and very detached from the original comic, (which people say is too close to Oran Ichi’s story in “Kill Bill” . Ugh!

Regardless, I’ve been behind on my column for Newsarama (which I should just stay up late tonight and do) but am not sure what the article should be about. Perhaps my filmmaking adventures. I could ask Peter David questions and do that for next week. Okay — that’s it, tonight I’ll:
